Delete your account
You can delete your Who's Up account — and the personal data tied to it — any time. Here's how.
Two ways to delete your account
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Who's Up on your phone.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the Danger zone and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm in the dialog.
Your account and all associated data are removed immediately when you confirm.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app (lost phone, uninstalled, etc.), email bestday@bestdayfitness.com from the phone number or email tied to your account, or include enough information for us to identify your account (e.g. the phone number you signed up with).
We respond within 5 business days and delete the account within 30 days, in line with our Privacy Policy.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are removed from our servers:
- Your profile — phone number, display name, optional avatar, timezone, quiet hours.
- Your friendships and blocks.
- Your “I'm Up” session history and notification delivery records.
- Your device push tokens.
- Invites you have sent.
- The phone-number hash that lets friends match you via their contacts.
Once your phone-number hash is removed, any friend who re-imports their contacts will no longer find you on Who's Up.
What we may retain, and why
A small amount of information is kept for a limited time for legal, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons:
- Abuse / rate-limit audit rows — typically retained for up to 30 days to enforce anti-abuse windows.
- Safety-case records — if your account was removed for a child-safety violation, we retain the minimum data required by law (see our Child Safety Standards).
- Backups — may contain account data for up to 30 days after deletion, after which backup rotation overwrites them.
